BC Museum

We love the BC Museum; last visit we saw the spectacular Titanic exhibition that has been making its way around the world.

This time it’s the Viking exhibition which was fascinating, if not as emotional as the Titanic one. Mum and I watched the Viking film showing in the IMAX theatre attached to the museum, which focused on Viking exploration and downplayed the rape and pillage. I hadn’t realised that they settled on Iceland and Greenland. Iceland looked beautiful; made me more determined to visit.

We had lunch in the cafe then explored the rest of the museum, taking our time – what a luxury! Fascinating display of First Nation languages, didn’t realise there were so many different tongues spoken in this area.

Back at the hotel Alan saw a Ruby Throated Hummingbird! Mum and I had a coffee while soaking up the sun.

Sounds really fascinating. But, what, no pillaging?!
